My Project

This project aims to provide students with group sets of novels to promote daily reading through novel studies and book clubs. These books will unlock the power of reading while reinforcing daily reading skills.

With these novels, students can read timeless classics to increase their reading stamina and lexile levels!

Research has shown that students who engage in novel studies and book clubs improve their reading skills and develop critical thinking and analytical skills. Students can interact with rich texts and engage in collaborative conversations with their peers and me through structured novel studies.

Many of my students face adversities that we, as adults, cannot fully comprehend. School is a safe place, and I want to provide them with a simple escape from their daily worries through the power of literature. I enjoyed this as a child; it helped me cope with my daily struggles, and I hope reading can do the same for my students.

Knowing how to read is the foundation of success! I want to ensure that every student who enters my classroom enjoys reading and finds joy in it, not because it is required but because it provides a gateway to places my students can only imagine!
