This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our special education program, which includes students who are in the deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) program, serves students in grades K thru 8th grade. Due to the various disabilities, including, but not limited to specific learning disabilities, hearing loss, speech and language delays, physical limitations, and experiential shortages in social cues and academics, these students require continuous monitoring and academic assistance.
Our students have various academic challenges including struggling daily with receptive and expressive language.
However, no matter the challenges, our students are always eager to explore the many facets of education. As a teacher in special education, I make it a priority to find the most effective ways in which to reach all my students while providing them the available resources needed inside and outside of the classroom.
The use of Magic Boards and Trace Alphabets Centers will create an interactive writing center for our primary students. A writing center will help develop literacy concepts and bring text to their pictures. This project focuses on helping our little writers write upper and lowercase letters, write their first and last names, and begin their high frequency words. Help make our writing project a success.
