My Students
These materials are for a wonderful group of 3rd graders who are excited about learning! My favorite part of teaching is helping my students develop a love for learning! Our school is amazing, and it is a very warm and inviting place. We have a wonderful community of teachers, parents, and students working hard every day to help everyone succeed.
My school has a very diverse population of students and families.
We are located in what some call a bedroom community, because parents work farther from home. Some of our students are low income, English Language Learners, come from single-parent homes, or are living with other guardians. It can be challenging meeting the needs of the varying abilities and backgrounds of the students, but it is something I enjoy doing. I am looking to instill a love for learning in my students.
My Project
The liquid watercolors will be used for art projects. I usually try to plan for one art project a week. The liquid watercolors are a unique media to work with. My students have enjoyed using different material with their artwork.
My students have been using pedometers to track their daily steps while at school.
I have seem a huge increase in the amount of movement that my students make when they are wearing the pedometers. The students earn brag tags based on the amount of steps they take. Several of our curent pedometers are no longer working and students ask me every day when they can get a new one. The storage chart will be nice to have as a visual reminders to the students to grab and return their pedometers each day.
