Oh Me! Oh My! I am Moving to Second Grade! Supplies Needed!

My students need a writing center, a timer, book pouches, privacy partitions and organizational pocket charts to assist in creating a writing center for my new classroom.

My Students

Do you remember when your teacher would always have you write a story using just paper and pencil? I am trying to create a center for second graders to write with a variety of supplies.

I teach at a Title 1 school with a high poverty level.

Many of my students do not have the support needed at home to be successful. I want to encourage them to be the best they can be by providing them with the tools needed to become great readers and writers. They love to read and write so providing those key materials to make it fun is just what they need.

My Project

The materials I am requesting are writing center tabletop storage, plastic take home book bags, pocket chart for writing storage, and erasers for whiteboards. These materials will inspire my students to become fluent readers and writers, and to express their work in a creative way. My students will be able to explore, create, and share their writings through the use of these materials. They will also help me to keep supplies organized and sorted for future use. The supplies will be easily accessible to all students to support them in every way possible.

Please support me by helping me provide my students with materials needed be successful as second graders.

With these materials I will be able to encourage these wonderful second grade students to read and write to their highest potential.
