I am the General Music and Choir Director and am currently teaching a choir of 7th and 8th grade students in a high-needs community.
We have no sight reading books at this time, but sight-reading is a high priority in musical development and is something we need to do every time we sing to meet and exceed academic standards for music education.
We need books the students can use in class to practice singing exercises and items that can be reproduced as needed to ensure we practice basic skills and prepare for more advanced musical experiences.
Your help will make it possible for us to be our best musically, be prepared for the high school choirs to come, and set the stage for confident performances and adjudications. Every child can benefit from such confidence building experiences if they are well prepared for them. Please, help make this possible.
