This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our graduating class of 2020 is an exceptional class who have been adapting to working online to complete their senior year. The seniors in my art classes are missing the hands-on experience of working with clay. They are looking forward to college classes and the opportunity to continue creating art.

I would like to provide my students with the basic art materials they will need when they enter college.

Having the necessary tools will keep students motivated and help them succeed

My Project

College is in the future for many of my students and there is so much to prepare for having a successful experience. As we approach graduation, many students have expressed the financial stress their families are under with parents out of work due to the virus. However, they are still moving forward with their plans to attend college this summer and fall.

Several of my graduating students are moving on to study art in college and I would like to provide them with some basic supplies to give them a good start.
