Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day my students come to school with wonder in their eyes and curiosity in their minds, ready to seize the day. A genuine love of learning can be felt every morning as they walk into the classroom. Despite the hardships and challenges my students have faced these past couple years, they still come in with an eagerness to learn.
It is because of their love of learning that I wish to provide them with the best possible learning environment that they deserve.
Together, my students and I have created an inclusive classroom where personal, social-emotional, and academic growth are cherished and celebrated.
My Project
This school year, my classroom has continued to embrace the digital era. Despite the limited technology we have, my students have shown that they are tech savvy. Currently, some of my students struggle using the mousepad on their Chromebooks. In some cases, the mousepads do not work properly anymore. Most of my students do not own a headset either which can make it difficult to focus when working independently. These issues can make it difficult for my students to actively engage in their learning. Having a headset and mouse for their computer will provide each of my students with the tools they need.
These past couple years have shown us the importance of technology in the 21st century.
As students of the digital era, it is essential for my students to continue to develop the skills that will help them navigate the digital world. To do this, my students need appropriate tools and resources.
