Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students work so hard, and love learning in many different ways. It is important to have the ability to teach them with different modalities, because students absorb information differently.

Each of my students is unique, and having a variety of tools to teach with helps make sure they are all able to learn in the best way for them.

We will use the rhythm sticks during Language Arts and Math. Students will hear the syllables in words, and make up songs and rhymes. Students will count out rhythms and make sound patterns.

We will use the counting beans during Math as a hands-on manipulative for help with number sense, addition and subtraction.

We will use the flair tip pens for our Writing unit. Students will be studying trees in the upcoming unit. They will use the pens to write about what they’ve learned.

We will use the expo markers during all parts of the day, for quick practice in Language Arts and Math.
