My Students

Physical Education is important to all students! When students are able to play, laugh and have fun, they learn better! Physical activity and exercise helps build brains cells, too!

Our school is K-5.

Students have different skill levels throughout the building. As a PE Department, we have no annual budget to purchase new equipment. All students should have the opportunity to play and experience a wide variety of games, build relationships with their peers, and create a sense of community while MOVING and having FUN!

As a free and reduced-price lunch school, many of our students don't have the opportunity to participate in activities outside of the traditional school day. Our physical education classroom provides students with opportunities to play and experience activities they may not normally be involved in outside of school.

My Project

In Physical Education class, we need a wide variety of equipment to make sure all of our students can be active and engaged. At times, this equipment begins to fail and is no longer usable. It is past it's life! Our "Odds and Ends" project will help fill the void for those missing pieces we need for PE!

With no PE budget, we need help replacing some of our basic pieces of equipment.

The majority of equipment we use for our PE classes is used in a wide variety of games and activities. A few specific pieces are used over and over and over. The daily wear and tear by our students destroys our equipment quickly.

We use our bases for multiple games (kickball, softball, running targets for our little students, etc.). Scoops and hula hoops are used a lot in PE. Our students love using the scoops to work on their throwing and catching skills. The hula hoops we use for multiple games, spatial awareness for our little students and of course, teaching our kids how to hula hoop!
