My Students

My students are an amazing group of third graders. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth-grade school located in rural California. It houses 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.

Our school has a strong academic culture.

I want to maintain our strength in this area by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.

My Project

My students need ink, pens, paints, tape, staplers, dry erase markers and computer screen cleaner for every day classroom use.

The ink will be used for our classroom printer to print homework, student work and anchor charts.

The staplers, tape and pens will be placed at student workstations so they can have easy access to classroom supplies. Having immediate access to supplies will keep down distractions and make the classroom more effective and efficient. The computer screen cleaner will keep my students' work environment clean.

All of the supplies requested will help keep our classroom organized and efficient. I have all the supplies requested for teacher use, but find when students want to use the supplies, they fight over who gets to use my materials first. By having the supplies at the workstations, students won't have to wonder around the room looking for the tools they need.
