My students need a number of daily use items to be restocked to finish out our school year successfully! These include Boogie Board memo pads, a pencil sharpener and markers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in our classroom consists of engaging lessons with most of our day being spent in small group rotating stations. It is our goal to grow two grade levels in mathematics and reading this year!
We are an inner city, urban community and are proud to be Ravens.
We are currently in Priority status and working towards full accreditation! Last year we began implementing the Leader in Me program which has been a school wide initiative. I have a number of English Language Learner (ELL) students with a very wide range of reading levels, from first through seventh-grade, who truly enjoy reading for fun and for learning.
Mathematics is a huge struggle for my fourth-graders. The rigor dramatically increases in this grade, and the number of fourth-grade mathematics objectives is high. We love learning the history of our country and of Virginia, from Jamestown all the way through the Civil Rights Movement.
My Project
The resources we are requesting are the daily staples in a modern classroom. Giving us markers means giving us anchor charts and word walls! Giving us Boogie Boards means saving paper when students need to justify their awesome thoughts to a peer or teacher! Sadly, our pencil sharpener has reached the end of it's life. These items are the everyday supplies we need to be successful!
With the year winding down, we still have countless opportunities for learning and growth!
In these final months of fourth grade I look forward to witnessing my students become mini-fifth graders. Your donation will help us to get the supplies we are lacking to do so!
