My Project
The items in this project will expand learning for students, making the content relevant and engaging. The books will be used to build up our outdoor learning materials. We have dived into learning about forest health and tree health. These materials help make connections to that learning as we step outside with measuring trees, and their space apart, mapping their density, and more. The TPT gift card will help create engaging lessons and printable manipulatives, posters, and graphic organizers for students to use. The containers will help hold the added math and science manipulatives such as the measuring tapes, dice, and counters.
Transforming learning through the outdoors is our goal.
The goals for this project are to make learning fun and impactful. The more I have taken students outdoors, the more I realize how much of a difference it makes for their learning. They retain more and are far more engaged. Behaviors have dropped, and they are loving school again. New and engaging materials will keep this plan going to get them outside as much as possible.
We have sweet students in a rural area that is rich in forestry and agriculture. I want to allow students to be in a learning environment unique to them, and the odds and ends in this project will be used to ramp up our indoor AND outdoor activities tremendously.
