My Students

I will be teaching a class of multicultural fifth graders who are a mixture of ELD, special needs, and gifted students. They are eager students who are ready to learn and try their best.

More than half of our students come from low income families who cannot provide them with the resources they need to help give their children the best education possible.

These students are the ones on the free or reduced-price lunch list.

With the diverse students in my class, I always find myself modifying everything I teach.

My Project

I teach a class of multicultural fifth graders that are a mixture of ELD, Special Needs, and Gifted students. They are eager students who are ready to learn and try their best. We were told last week that we would get some new furniture to allow us to do flexible seating starting this school year. Ahhhh... rearranging everything in the middle of the year and right before testing isn't the best time. However, if we don't get them now it'll never happen!

All of these materials add up financially for a person on a teacher salary therefore I am in need of desperate assistance to put all of this in place prior.

The materials I am requesting will make our lives much easier and help me run flexible seating in a more organized fashion. I will use the spray paint to paint the children’s tables so they can become whiteboard tables. That way the children will be able to write on them with dry erase markers. I will use the rug to put in my reading center so the children have a comfortable place to sit and read. I will also use the hooks that I am requesting to display the children’s work around the classroom. The little things are what make a big difference in the classroom. Please help us out.
