Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day my students rush into my classroom excited to build our classroom community into a family. Our classroom is a safe place for them to explore learning and grow into college and career ready learners!
My students live in an area of highest poverty in town and 100% of the students at our school receive a free lunch.
We are a Title I school and all of my students are English Language Learners and they are all also diagnosed with Autism. Many of my students have significant behavioral issues that impact instruction for themselves and their classmates.
My Project
Some of the materials in this project are to replenish classroom materials we have used from other DonorsChoose projects! They have made such a wonderful impact in my classroom and we are running very low on the supplies we use to make our own interactive books that give my students the opportunity to show what they know!
I am asking for an Alexa and an interactive whiteboard to give my students ownership and power in their lessons, by annotating notes directly into our slides and researching information easily and quickly!
These materials will really help my students take charge in lessons, show what they know in books they can make, or annotating lessons in our presentations.
