My Students
My classroom consists of twenty enthusiastic and inquisitive young learners with active imaginations and kind hearts. Some of the children are English language learners encountering their first classroom setting. I work in partnership with my assistant teacher to create a safe, supportive environment for my students, focusing on literacy and language development.
Together, we set the foundation for learning through small group literacy, art, mathematics, and science activities, while balancing the school day with social-emotional problem-solving and self-help practices.
Our activities also promote kinetic movement for active learners as well as whole child, free-choice centers.
My Project
During our ocean exploration, we would like to immerse ourselves in an in-depth study of marine life. These varied books will add to our discussions and special sea life projects. Our preschoolers are fascinated by the mysterious and vast ocean along with all the life it contains.
Overall, the children are excited to swim with the whales, sharks and sea turtles as we bring the ocean to life in our classroom through engaging fiction and non-fiction books.
