Occupational Therapy - Gaining Skills for Academic Success

My Project

COVID-19 has greatly impacted students of all abilities, due to fewer chances for developing interpersonal skills, reduced opportunities for practicing fine motor skills, and less of an opportunity to practice and gain independence in self care. Screens became a main gateway for social interaction, entertainment, and education instead of hands on and in person learning. Due to these changes, students have lost many necessary fine motor skills, sensory regulation skills, and age appropriate independence skills. Occupational therapy addresses all these and more. The supplies given will help address these skills.
