O Printer, My Printer, Wherefore Art Thou?

Help me give my students an HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wireless Inkjet Printer so that they can easily print items from their own device instead of having to wait until I can print from the Teacher's Lounge.

My Students

As a teacher located in a large school district with high levels of poverty, my students face myriad obstacles in their life when it comes to having the basic essentials we sometimes take for granted. However, these limitations do not stop my students in their pursuit of a world-class education. I teach students in an inner-city middle school and they are very mature and have a natural passion for learning new and challenging topics. I call them Elite Engineers as they are experts at the Engineering Design Process, among many other critical thinking curriculum components.

My students are creative, pensive, self-aware, like to be challenged, and have a positive attitude that will allow them to accomplish all of their dreams and aspirations.

My Project

This printer will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom is a place that my students really enjoy - They read about events happening in the world, they study current events daily, complete daily assignments and they are all unique! Since I focus on project-based learning through Choice Boards and differentiation, every student needs the ability to access and view their completed projects on a printed page!

With this new wireless printer, my students will become digital natives by being able to print anything they need in order to be successful in learning and in creating their very own digital platform!

They will also be able to research and print materials that will help bridge the learning gap that occurred during the pandemic by giving them multiple pathways to learn and create projects based on our learning standards. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in experiential learning, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
