Nurturing Confidence to my Junior High Dyslexic Readers

My Project

I'm a special education teacher who teaches reading to our lowest readers in the building. I use the Orton Gillingham program strategies to teach my reading class the phonemic foundations of decoding words.

Working with students with disabilities at the junior high level is particularly special as they are in such a transition time in their learning.

My students are all eager to learn as they are in dire need for reading support. I want to give them books they are confident to hold in their hands to practice their fluency and improve their confidence.
