My students need math learning centers to use during center time. My students need photo libraries and a butterfly nursery that will help them to understand the science content.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember when you were learning math and science? It probably was not one of your favorite subjects. Well I do not want this to happen to my students. I want them to discover a love for math and science.
My students live in South Los Angeles.
They live in a high poverty area surrounded by factories. Some of my students live in a single parent household and some live in a household where both parents work too late at night. They attend a school where most of the students qualify for free federally funded lunch. Most of my students are English Language Learners and all of them are eager to learn. Most of my students have limited resources at home, and the only resources they have come from school.
My Project
I am requesting math folder games, a measurement center, addition match-ups, and math learning centers to start a learning math center. I want my students to have options when working independently. I want them to have materials that will reinforce what has been taught during whole class instruction.
I am also requesting an animal photo library, a science photo library, and a butterfly nursery to help my students develop vocabulary and a better understanding of the science content.
Please help my students discover their love for math and science.
The best way to do this is with these fun and engaging materials. With these materials my students will understand the content and become better learners.
