My Project

I am looking to improve my students' mathematical understanding of our fourth-grade concepts and build their confidence in math. I love to have my students participate in a Number Talk. (Never heard of it? Look it up; it's fantastic!) I like to bring them to the front of the room when we share our thoughts. I want the cushions for my students to sit on; believe it or not, the hard tile floor isn't the most comfortable!

I'd also love to add an ant farm to our classroom!

One of my students brought in this exact ant farm, which was so interesting! My students loved observing the ants; seeing their reactions was so cool. I'd love this in our classroom to help us practice our scientific/research skills!
