Help me give my students daily math journals to help support academic success.

My Students
My fourth grade students are inquisitive, risk takers, determined, and enthusiastic. Their ideas, passion, and knowledge are truly inspiring. The students have a willingness to share and communicate with their peers that is a positive asset in the classroom.
My students walk into the class every morning knowing that they can rise to the challenges presented to them through hard work and perseverance.
The students are a diverse group of learners. They are encouraged to learn and grow at their own speed to become capable and confident learners.
My Project
The students in my classroom work very hard each day to grow academically in math. One of the ways we can do this is through the use of math journals. These math journals will allow the students to have something to work on during snack time. The problems also follow our math curriculum nicely. Each day the students will have a set of math skills they need to complete such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. As the year goes on the students will be expected to complete problems involving fractions, decimals, angles, and multi-step word problems. These daily problems will help the students gain more success on our district and state testing. I have used these journals in the past and have seen first hand how beneficial they are. I can't wait to hopefully have these journals again and set my students up for academic success!
