Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Building number sense and understanding are essential to a firm foundation in mathematics. Students need to be exposed to numbers in as many ways as possible to make this foundation wide and strong. I am asking for help to expand the math centers in my kindergarten class in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. This proposal is to purchase a class set of write and wipe number line white boards, a number line pocket chart, and other counting manipulatives. My class consists of 19 English Language Learners and one English-speaking inclusion student, many of whom require extra support and practice in the classroom. Please help build our math centers and create a firm foundation for the future.
