Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a range of students, from freshmen to seniors who have a variety of academic and life skills. They come to school ready to learn but not always able to do so without added supports.
Most of my students are minorities and come to my class because it's their safe space to be themselves, explore, and dive invaluable academic experiences.
Some of them have no or limited access to school supplies and coming to school and being provided with basic supplies and manipulatives is a big deal for them!
My Project
Working hard to prepare lessons with meaningful visuals pictures and videos and being able to display it for my students is an essential part of my teaching and students' learning. Unfortunately, simply showcasing my hard has been a rough patch due to school resources. Students need a visual representation of the lesson and unfortunately often technology fails - or not available - we need a way to present the lesson plans and activities to students. The mini projector is a perfect solution for me and my students that will keep us not depending on the resources provided by our school. It's great to not worry about if our projector or smart board work because we always have the backup- the mini projector at hand.
