Now We Know Our ABC's

Help me give my students their own ABC book and alphabet chart to help recognize letters. We also need our own interactive read-aloud kit.

My Students

I work in extremely high poverty with free lunch and breakfast for all of the students in my school. My students never fail to amaze me. They rise to any challenges; they face and teach me new things every day.

I have a large group of kindergartners ready to blossom as readers, writers, and mathematicians.

School is a fun and safe place for my students, and it is my job to make sure they want to come to my class and have what they need to be successful. I need to make sure my students are safe.

My Project

We have started a new literacy program with our students. I am excited to use these materials for guided reading and helping my students to learn their alphabet. When splitting up the kits between the three Kindergarten classrooms we feel it would be helpful to have more student alphabet books so that each student can have their own copy for their book box. We also only received one alphabet poster and one interactive read aloud kit.

By having our own kit and our own poster we will cut down on time needed to pass these materials from class to class.

These books and materials will be used for years and years to come. I am excited to have these materials in my classroom and in the hands of my students.
