Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have over 1,200 students every year at our school and several hundred of them participate as student-athletes in any one of our over 15 available sports teams every year!

Our student-athletes show their hustle and heart in every sport and that takes a toll on the equipment they use!

Luckily for us, Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl came to our rescue! They asked us to make a sports equipment wish list because they had a great team that wanted to help us! Kellogg's Frosted Flakes teamed up with Albertson's and they are going to give us a very generous donation through Mission Tiger to support youth sports and create more opportunities for kids to play sports!

This donation will help us purchase new equipment including soccer goals, footballs, training gear, pads, water bottles, and much more.

Middle School Principal Dr. Angela Reyna said our campus and the Ysleta Independent School District are "grateful that Mission Tiger is providing this very generous donation, which will go toward providing student-athletes with the necessary athletic equipment to help them develop their minds, bodies, and souls as they compete."
