Novels for my 11th Grade English Class

My students need a class set of "The Things They Carried" for our novel study.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Ivory's classroom raised $516

This project is fully funded

My students are brilliant, and they need harder work! I teach American Literature at a high needs school in Missouri. My students are mainly eleventh graders (with a few sophomores and seniors), and they're all amazing.

Though we're in a difficult situation (all of my students are on free or reduced lunch), my kids are eager to learn. They are tired of not being challenged enough, and they're ready to step up to the plate. This is a novel that I know my students will be interested in; however, our school is lacking in supplies.

Being able to read a novel of this level will prepare them greatly for college. Not only will we be able to test analytical skills, but the students will practice college-level writing. I want my students to go to college and be able to graduate, not just enroll on the first day. This is the way to get them there.

Your donation will make it possible for my students to start on equal ground with high performing schools in America. They are willing to do the work if you are willing to help! Please help my kids make it THROUGH college!
