My Students
My students come from a primarily agricultural area of Central Florida. They hail from all walks of life, and each one aspires to become the next great author on bookstore shelves.
Many of these boys and girls have seen their work published in journals and anthologies, and have tremendous talent in the fields of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction.
They are our future novelists, poets, and journalists! Please help me help them achieve their dreams; greatness is waiting to happen here!
My Project
Each of the students in this year's creative writing program at our school for the Arts will create a long narrative work known as a novella (or short novel).
This project has been very popular with students in past years, but this year we need some extra help with the supplies to launch this favorite task.
Using the notebooks, pens, and pencils, students will create their drafts. Using the small pocket memo books, they'll record their ideas, and using the other materials, we'll engage with one another in class. By having the resources to create our novellas, we'll be able to produce great work!
