Novelas en Español

Help me give my students novels in Spanish and decorative items to make my students from all Latin American countries feel welcomes.

My Project

My students come from mostly Spanish speaking households. While they are in the process of learning English, I would like to make them feel welcome at school by having different Latin American decorations hung up in our classroom.

It would also mean a lot to us to have novels in Spanish as well for their independent reading.

Giving them the opportunity to read for enjoyment in their native language will help them feel included and allow them to complete assignments in Spanish.

We are also asking for decorations to make a Día de los muertos ofrenda. This would help me provide an authentic experience for them and allow the rest of our school to learn about this unique day in Mexico.
