My Students
Our students are a very diverse group of students with all different kinds of talents, backgrounds, and interests. We have many students from other countries that speak more than one language or that speak little to no English.
We have gifted students, students with learning disabilities, and students on the Autism spectrum.
Each one is so special in his/her own way. Our students are each individuals and very unique puzzle pieces that come together to make the most interesting picture.
My Project
A novel study is a great way for students to apply what they have been learning all year long. Each student has access to the same text, which allows them to participate in discussions about the text.
A novel study provides an opportunity for extending the students thinking and can spark interest in other topics or concepts.
For example, this novel takes place during World War II. We can connect the fictional text to nonfiction text to learn more about real historical events. It helps use integrate ideas and concepts across different areas.
