Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from varied backgrounds in a Title I school. During the Distance Learning my students will be online for learning and will also have time to complete work offline. Students come from home that speak more than one language and need materials that give them equity in education.
My Project
I am requesting a copy of Ninth Ward and Fuzzy Mud for each of my students to use at home during Distance Learning.
Help my students have a balance of online and offline learning with books in their hands at home.
Ninth Ward gives a perspective into the Ninth Ward during hurricane Katrina and the impact it had on the community. We will also use this book to research about hurricanes.
Fuzzy Mud looks into friendships, bullying and an ecological disaster. We will use this book to build relationships in Distance Learning and the science in the ecological disaster to build science knowledge.
