My Project

This project will provide my students with the opportunity of a fun and engaging novel study.

Having a class set will provide my students, grades 2nd through 5th, with a print copy of a book to follow along as we read and discuss together.

Throughout the book study we will study characters, plot, setting, and theme. They will participate in meaningful discussion and look forward to story development. My students will build critical thinking skills by comparing/contrasting themes, analyzing illustrations and texts, and making real world connections. A novel study will add fun to their school day, while also helping them forge a deeper attachment to books! All this will help them learn and love reading.
