it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students for their resilience, their curiosity, and the heart they bring into our classroom each day. Despite the many challenges they face outside of school, they show up eager to learn, participate, and grow. Many of my students come from low-income households and often struggle with basic needs such as food and hygiene. Yet, they continue to inspire me with their strength and determination. They are bright, capable, and full of potential—they simply need the right support to thrive.
Providing essential items like feminine products, protein bars, snacks, toothbrushes, and toothpaste can make a tremendous difference in their daily lives; When students don’t have to worry about being hungry or embarrassed by unmet hygiene needs, they can focus more on their education.
A protein bar or snack can help them concentrate during lessons, while access to hygiene products supports their confidence and well-being. These basic resources create a more equitable learning environment where every student has the dignity and tools they need to succeed.
