My Project
Three times a week, students are encourage to attend tutoring afterschool. These snacks will feed students while they attend after school tutoring. I teach English Learners at a Title 1 school.
Covid had greatly affected their learning in that they were already behind before the pandemic in their academic achievement. And now they are playing catch up. After school tutoring is an extension of the classroom. It allows them to gain one-to-one help from teachers. These snacks will help them focus at the materials at hand, and increase their focus.
This classroom project was brought to life by Hawai'i State Department of Education.
