This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I deeply value the resilience and enthusiasm my students exhibit daily, even when facing significant challenges. Many of them come to school hungry, which adversely affects their mental health, focus, and mood. Hunger can lead to dehydration, apathy, and lower self-esteem, all of which hinder their learning and engagement.

To support their mental well-being, I am seeking funding for nutritious snacks.

These snacks will help address their hunger, stabilize their mood, and enhance their concentration and participation in class. Well-nourished students are better equipped to focus, engage in learning activities, and excel in physical education and other subjects.

My aim is to foster a supportive environment where students feel cared for and can perform at their best. By meeting their basic needs, we can improve their emotional well-being, boost their self-esteem, and enhance their academic performance.

What makes my students remarkable is their determination to succeed despite the obstacles they face. By providing these snacks, we can help them overcome barriers and thrive in their educational journey. Your support will significantly impact their mental health and overall success.
