Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students come from low-income families, and our school serves a large population who qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch. While these meals help meet basic needs, but many students still come to class hungry or need a nutritious snack to focus throughout the day. For families already facing financial struggles, providing consistent snacks can be a struggle. When students are distracted by hunger, it is difficult for them to concentrate, participate, or stay motivated throughout the day. As a teacher, I want to make sure that my classroom is a place where hunger is not a barrier to learning, ensuring every student in my classroom feels cared for and supported. By providing snacks, I can help remove a major barrier to education and create an equitable classroom environment.
Your donations will help stock our classroom with healthy, nourishing snacks, which will help support focus and improve motivation within our classroom.
