Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an amazingly diverse group of students who bring so much joy, curiosity, and wisdom to the classroom. However, many of my students are often rushing to school in the morning after helping see their younger siblings off to school and don't have a chance to eat breakfast. Other students just need a little extra snack to get them through the morning, since our school lunch time is later than normal. Whatever the reason, my students are often craving a small snack during the day.
My students love to snack, and food gives them energy and fuel for their day.
I want to provide students with snacks to hold them over when they feel hungry, to motivate them to win rewards, and sometimes just to provide a little comfort on a tough day. These snacks will help my students stay engaged and fuel learning.
