My Students
Our classroom is full of eager learners! No matter what the topic these third graders come up with dozens of questions and don't stop until they have found answers. They are excited and ambitious in all that they do!
We are a Title 1 school in Oregon.
Most students are on free or reduced lunch. In our diverse classroom we have 30 third grade students. Several of these students have special needs and are learning English as a second language. Making learning fun and engaging is essential for all students, but especially those with these special needs. In our classroom we work hard to apply our skills to real life scenarios and problems. We love any opportunity that we have to extend and enhance our learning!
My Project
From ocean animals to inventions and the ways of Native American life, technology allows us to learn about things in a new and interactive way. With this iPad my students will be able to research any topic, watch videos and view artifacts close up. In addition, they will have access to apps where they can practice important skills in all subject areas. Through this technology I am able to individualize learning for each of my students. They will also be able to work in pairs and groups using the iPad to collaborate in literacy circles, social studies groups and math games.
I hope that you will be a part of making this dream a reality in our classroom.
This donation will increase achievement in so many ways. Through hard work and technology there is no boundary to what we can learn!
