My Project
My students are struggling to understand the purpose, function, and their role in our government. I'm hoping to try a new strategy focused on basic, core teaching strategies to lay a foundation which will later allow more complex and thought-provoking assignments. With the proper foundation and items to utilize for this endeavor, the goal is to encourage students to be interested in government and be active citizens who are engaged in civil discourse, educated in current events, and participate in the political process. My desire for these students is not to pass a course required for graduation, but to be active in their learning take the knowledge they have learned into our society and be the change makers they are destined to become. Thank you for your consideration in helping my students reach the potential others have made them believe they do not have. Through their education and people who are willing to support and encourage them, they will go far to do great things.
