My students need spiral notebooks in which to keep their notes organized, to use when doing homework, and for writing essays and journal entries.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Felder's classroom raised $273

My Students
As we all know, the one thing none of us can ever escape is paperwork! That holds true for my 8th grade Social Studies classes. I teach in a small rural district in southwest Mississippi where school supplies are often not a high priority in too many households.
There is no lack of enthusiasm among the very nice children that I teach.
Sometimes that enthusiasm lags a bit when the child realizes that he doesn't have the materials he needs for his class. Simple spiral notebooks are a scarce commodity in some households but a necessity in almost every classroom. If this were a perfect world, we would all have personal computers with printers and a large supply of toner and paper. But we don't live in a perfect world.
My Project
For this reason, I turn to good people like you who are willing to lend a helping hand to some nice people who don't lack for desire to learn, but are lacking in materials to assist in that process. Your contribution toward the purchase of spiral notebooks can make sure that my students have access to paper when they need it.
In these tough economic times, I know we are all feeling the pinch.
That's what makes your gift to my proposal that much more appreciated. Thank you in advance for your consideration of my proposal. Some very nice kids look forward to hearing from you!
