This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are smart, amazing and hard working. They have a thirst for learning and are always looking to enhance their learning. They enjoy setting their own learning goals and achieving those goals.
This is a Title I school, high poverty area and about 90% of my students get free lunch.
These students are currently learning from home and I'm teaching through Google Classroom and Google Meet. They will continue to learn from home until this pandemic passes.
Currently many of them have little to no resources at home since most of it was left at school. They need supplies.
My Project
Many of our children left all their supplies in school thinking they will return to school but they never did. Most are left home with limited to no supplies to continue learning. Notebooks and pencils are very much needed to continue to learn.
Many of the children work best by writing out their work.
Notebooks will also help those who need to keep a journal while they are home.
Some of the children are creating online documents but you can't do math computations on a screen. They really need to continue to write too.
