This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students attend a non-profit public charter middle school that serves students in inner-city San Diego, primarily from the historic Barrio Logan and Logan Heights neighborhoods. I teach a generally underserved population of students who would greatly benefit from this donation.
This school year I want my students to create their own writer's notebook.
A writer's notebook is a tool to help my students grow into lifelong writers. To kickstart this project, I need 100 composition notebooks and highlighters.
With your help, my students will be able to use these notebooks and highlighters to experiment, collect, and hold on to their thinking in an effective way.
