My Students
I teach my scholars to have a growth mindset knowing that they are in control of their own ability, and can learn and improve. I believe in positively impacting scholars no matter what obstacles they may face. Majority of my scholars are from undeserved communities and many of them don't have the resources or parental support. They are economically disadvantage and dealing with many challenges. Our campus is currently in a student learning reconstruction phase and we are striving to get our students on grade level or higher. Despite the many challenges they face, I model hard work, effort, and persistence. Along with being a teacher, I'm in the Texas Army National Guard. I have been serving my country for 10 years so I know that the key to success is to adapt and overcome
I am committed to providing scholars with the essential tools they need to achieve academic excellence and give them unique experiences and educational opportunities that they will not normally be exposed to.
