Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year's first writing project will be to craft a spooky, suspenseful short story. I'd like for my students to have access to current books where they can see themselves represented in the stories to help inspire their writing.
For many of my students, reading is a scary thing, but it doesn't have to be with these high-interest young adult novels.
I can't wait to share all these amazing options with my students and see their creativity grow. Reading - and later writing - a story can be enjoyable, not something that is frightening.
