Not Just PLAYING but WORKING hard!

My students need real life items for a dramatic play area in the classroom. Dramatic play in the classroom is essential for young learners to build new vocabulary and problem solving. WE need a pet vet kit, doctor play set and much more.

My Students

We have 4 kindergarten classes at our school. Each class currently has 25 students comes from all socioeconomic levels. They come from various cultural backgrounds and languages, creating a truly unique and diverse classroom. They are active, engaged learners who enjoy all types of activities and learn across all modalities. They are creative thinkers, active listeners, problem solvers, and kind friends. Many of our students have not been to preschool before they come to kindergarten and this is their first experience in a formal school setting.

My Project

My students need new items for a dramatic play area in the classroom. Dramatic play in the classroom is essential for young learners. Students benefit from imaginary play because it allows them to express their emotions and feelings. The vet clinic and ice cream shop will allow for authentic experiences during play.

This area will provide purposeful and powerful play that will incorporate all subjects.

My students will learn to better cooperate with each other as a result of the dramatic play area. The dramatic play area will enrich the lives of my students for many years to come. Play is the real work of childhood.
