This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Have you ever watched a child use technology for education or for fun? Imagine a child completely engaged in reading though the use of our classroom nook tablet!
In my classroom there is a high population of ESOL students coming from a low socioeconomic background.
My students love coming to school and receiving an education. They especially enjoy using technology to learn. My students attend a school where space and technology are limited.
My Project
In my classroom students will use the Nook tablet to read books independently, have books read aloud to them, and use reading applications. Through the use of technology, students will be completely engaged in reading. The increase of students independently reading will be incredible. The activity that my students and I will be able to do best with our nook tablet is having students engaged in reading and also building comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary by hearing stories read aloud to them via the nook table.
By donating to this project you will be contributing to the lives of students who value education even though they do not have much.
These students use technology to enhance learning. Many of these students do not get the chance to use technology at home, therefore the time they receive at school is valued!
