My Students

I work in the library of a very diverse high school. My students range in age from 15-19 in grades 9-12. Students are allowed to use the library all day long with a pass. They have time to come in before school, during classes, and during lunch.

Our collection is aged at 1996, which provides inaccurate information for their research.

We need to refresh our collection with update and accurate titles for research and social emotional learning.

My Project

The non-fiction books will help students have access to non-fiction texts and make great connections to the events occurring in the world.

The different collections of social emotional and culturally diverse titles will help students gain a more accurate and true to life view for research and for life.

Students both in person and remote will have access to these titles. These titles will refresh the aging collection that we have. The current collection is aged at 1996, which provides students with both inaccurate information for research. Students will have access to titles that will help them in research and in life.
