Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a class of adorable, energetic, eager to learn 5 year olds. For my class project, "Nonfiction Reading is the Real Deal in Kindergarten," I am asking for level 1 nonfiction readers for my students. My goal for this project is to foster curiosity, expand vocabulary and background knowledge, and help my young learners develop critical thinking skills by engaging with real-world information and diverse perspectives. My students will also develop language as they talk about the differences between fiction and nonfiction books. Please help me help my students by donating to my class project.
