My Project
My students are creative, energetic, and curious. As middle schoolers, they are learning much about themselves and the world at a very rapid pace. They thrive when exposed to hands-on learning opportunities, real-world examples, and competitive opportunities.
Our school-wide read is a nonfiction book about a very exciting and engaging topic- TOYS!
The book, Toys! Amazing Stories Behind Some Great Inventions, features the history behind many popular toys, the creativity and persistence of toy inventors, and many STEM connections.
This project includes several of the toys featured in the book, including Hotwheels, car kits, and playing cards. These toys will serve several purposes. They will serve as examples of some toys from the book students are not familiar with. They will also be used as prizes for trivia competitions which test student's comprehension of the book and keep students engaged in the reading and exploration of the text. Thank you for helping us make our school-wide reading a fun and engaging learning experience!
