Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious and love to learn. This year I am weeding out unused, unengaging books from our library's nonfiction sections. I would love to replace them with nonfiction books that will capture my students' attention and satisfy their curiosity about topics that they are interested in.

Engaging, relevant nonfiction books encourage my students to explore topics that broaden their worldview.

For many of them, the school library is the only place where they have choice in what they read.

Most of the books I have requested come from the Who HQ collection of books. These series' are very engaging for students, and the books that we do have in our library from these series' are checked out and read often. I am hoping to expand my students' access to these amazing nonfiction books.
