Nonfiction Books Can Be Fun!

My Project

My students need a variety of books! The students at my school have made it clear that they love to read nonfiction books. I have students who are reading below their level, at their level and well above their reading level.

One thing my students have in common though, is a love of reading.

I have a goal of ensuring that my students have access to high interest nonfiction titles that are newer publications. Currently, my library has a lot of nonfiction books that are older than all of my students. Students can get a lot out of reading nonfiction titles and it is important that the information they are learning is up to date and on topics that will peak their interest. I hope with this project to encourage further exploration and restore excitement in the realm of nonfiction reading.
